Movies ~
I
LOVE movies.... going to them, watching them at home .... love them!!
So I'm going to start keeping track of them ... pretty much because why
not! Who knows ... maybe you'll agree with me or discover we have
completely opposite tastes in movies. I used to go to the movies about
3 times a week with Mike but that hasn't happened since he died. Now I
catch them when I can, which seems less and less these days. I have to
say that a dinner and a movie is the perfect date for me though. It
won't matter if I rent them or watch them in the theater ... I'm going
to write up a review for them.... I won't be going back over all the
movies I've seen in the past, this is more like a start from the last
movie I saw.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005): Ok... I can't emphasize how
disappointed I was. I do like Tim Burton's films for the most part but
I think I might have hyped myself out for this. Johnny Depp is
undeniably an amazing actor. AMAZING ... and Freddie Highmore? He's
going to be one to watch over the years. You can't help but love
him!! But I hated the songs ... and I love Danny Elfman! Overall, it
was a cute movie but the oompa loompas gave me the creeps and it
dragged in a lot of places. Worth seeing but if you haven't seen it
yet and aren't a huge Tim Burton or Johnny Depp fan, missing it in the
theaters wouldn't be the end of the world. Or wait til it hits the
cheap theaters.
